Cranberry, Lemon and Ginger Tea
This cranberry, lemon and ginger tea is quick and easy to make. The only downfall is that fresh or frozen cranberries are not available year round. But the good news is that you can stock up on the cranberries when they are in season. They freeze very well and are great for making tea even after they have been frozen.
This is a tangy tea, but it is great for cleansing and relieving digestive problems. The ginger is a warming herb, which helps to warm the body from the inside out. It also helps to release toxins and expels them via a gentle sweat.
Tea Ingredients:
1 cup Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
4 cups Water
1 tbsp. Ginger
1 Lemon
1-2 tbsp. Honey
Wash the cranberries and put them into a small pot along with 1 cup of water. On medium heat, bring to a boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes until the cranberries are soft.
Take the remaining 3 cups of water and bring to a boil in a tea kettle.
Meanwhile grate the ginger and place into a tea ball. Place the tea ball into a teapot.
Cut the lemon and squeeze the juice into the teapot.
Add the hot water.
Once the cranberries are soft, strain them through a fine sieve in order to obtain the tea. Add the cranberry tea to the teapot along with the honey.
Allow the tea to steep for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir and enjoy.
